Hi Jamie,
I changed the code according to your advice, and tracked would not crash
any more.
Now I have some other questions:
1. The libmysqld.a I built is very large. 13MB with debug information
and 5MB after strip. Is that right?
2. I ran trackerd on my linux box, and it built the indexes for my home
directory which is 1.2GB. The problem is that the index produced is too
large, it's 350+MB. I ran Beagle for the same home directory too, and
the index produced is only 20+MB. Although tracker-search gives more
accurate search result, I think the size of index is unacceptable.
3. Right now tracker is statically linked to libmysqld.a, I wonder
whether it can be dynamically linked to .so library of mysqld.
4. I ran make check for mysql(5.0.22) on Linux too, it failed at the
same place as on Solaris, so I want to know if you have encountered the
same problem or not.
5. Are you the only person who is maintaining this project? Is it a
full-time work or a part-time one?
Regards,
Jedy Wang
