Laurent,
first of all, thanks for responding. Second, I don't quite get what
you are saying. All the emails in my account (it's an IMAP account)
are marked as read; the emails are not stored locally but stay on the
server. However few emails have been indexed and I don't understand
what makes them so special. Beagle has indexed all of them: do you
know how different the two indexers are in this respect?
Maybe I can delete my .evolution and reconfigure evolution from
scratch forcing it to reload all the headers from the IMAP server;
would that help?
before you do that check tracker has finished indexing - run
tracker-status
not all emails will be available for searching until indexing has
finished
also check you have no tmp or final index files in ~/.cache/tracker as
this would indicate its still indexing
