Two weeks ago there was some discussion on this list about indexing MusicBrainz metadata in tracker. Jamie asked if there was some standard way the files get tagged with MusicBrainz metadata. There is indeed a standard, http://wiki.musicbrainz.org/PicardTagMapping describes how the MusicBrainz attributes are mapped to different tagging formats. Wherever possible standard tag names (which are known to other applications) are used.

It would indeed be very helpfull to make queries e.g. for the MusicBrainz Track ID to find files.
