Just a note: Vala isn't an allowed binding for GNOME Desktop modules.
This will prevent Tracker to be accepted in 2.30 release :(
Its a grey area - vala compiles into C code and there are no runtime
bindings. (Obviously thats not the case with other languages which
require runtime bindings)
Its a bit like saying yacc cant be used in Gnome when it can
anyway a fair amount of sparql depends on vala so we cant strip it out
easily
worst case is tracker is allowed as an external dependency
