Hi,
Hello,
I'm trying to use tracker to put tags on my files on my Gnome 3 desktop.
I was able to tag files without problem with the Nautilus plugin.
If I use tracker-tag, I can see that the file are correctly tagged.
Now, I would like to search files by tag, but I didn't find how to do
that in tracker-needle. Is it possible ?
The tracker-needle app automatically uses tags as part of the search.
However, it doesn't tell you that we found the hits from tags or other
means - which might be what you're referring to here.
If you search for "Austria" as a tag you should find files with that tag
listed under their categories. To know if the resource itself is tagged
with "Austria", click on the icon in the toolbar second from the right
(for my theme it's a heart), it lists tags. The tag "Austria" should be
checked when you click on a hit in the search results that matches.
I'm using the version 0.14.5, I cannot install the 0.16.1 on my system
(Gentoo) because of dependency problems with other packages.
I see. AFAIK, that shouldn't make much difference.
