I hope the word complaint doesn't indicate that this is too harrowing. ;-)
How many of the contraints are not useful in duplication? I just noticed
this because "Do not search mounted filesystems" (???) looks like it can
be added many times, but it's just a toggle. Maybe those that are just
on or off should be present with checkboxes?
If that's done, maybe the same should be done with the others and then a
button provided to duplicate them or a way to specify conjunction in the
string should be afforded.
Looking at version 2.0.1 and the first email a few days ago:
These are just toggles:
Do not search mounted filesystems
Search follows symbolic links
File is owned by invalid user or group
File is empty
"Last time file was modified" only makes sense once and input should be
contrained to a valid form.
"File name matches regular expression" could be used more than once, but
who would? Also, this could be just a toggle of the matching string
interpretation.
These can use some form of list, either option menu or check list:
File is owned by user
File is owned by group
"File is not named" seems like it should be a toggle of matching string
interpretation. Maybe there should just be an option menu to determine
the interpretation.
"File contains text" could obey web search engine conventions: words matching
without order unless quoted. Results can be sorted by confidence.
Taking these suggestions, a little glade and gimp work, and less-than-
satisfactory string consideration, I come up with a contraint section as
depicted here:
