I felt it just didn't behave very natural b) there is not really a reason to diverge from with "Name Function" pattern, which is suggested by the HIG [1] for good reasons. I'd like to see a use-case here before providing a pref. Power users can quickly see the app name and newbies are told what it's for. d) translators generally hate strings composed from multiple sources because it can cause grammatical headache in some languages. c) if we consider to allow alternative composed patterns, we can still provide an ApplicationName field with Epiphany, Nautilus etc..
