[Vala] Enumerating a GValueArray

Newbie question!
How do I enumerate a returned GValueArray in genie (or vala if necessary) I can't figure out how to use a for
loop as there appears to not be an iterable collection according to the compiler and I don't know the data
types of the values returned in the GValueArray.
Appreciate any ideas - hope the question is not too foolish for this list of gurus!
