[xslt] problem installing python bindinds

hello

I have libxslt 1.0.26 and the newest libxml and python 2.2.2

./configure --with-python=/usr/local/

worked for libxml but not for libxslt
it says 
Found Python Version

and thats it.
Python Libs are in
/usr/local/lib/python2.2
and the interpreter is in
/usr/local/bin

any ideas what went wrong here ?
