problems compiling -core OR justin is an idiot

ok, i've fallen into the trap. i've seen this happen before, and i
gleefully ignored the responses, figuring i'd never need them. but at
least it should be a simple problem.

Making all in po
make[2]: Entering directory `/home/gnomecvs/gnome-core/po'
PATH=../src:$PATH : --default-domain=gnome-core --directory=.. \
  --add-comments --keyword=_ --keyword=N_ \
  --files-from=./POTFILES.in
rm -f ./gnome-core.pot
mv gnome-core.po ./gnome-core.pot
mv: gnome-core.po: No such file or directory
make[2]: *** [gnome-core.pot] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/gnomecvs/gnome-core/po'

so whuddo i do?

thanks,
justin
