Re: how to change gnome2 default font ?

My gnome2 was compiled from cvs head and installed by vicious scripts.
however it doesn't give an default $INSALL_DIR/etc/X11/pangox.aliases
or a $INSTALL_DIR/etc/X11/XftConfig. My gnome 1.4 doesn't have them
either. So I have no idea what should be written in pangox.aliases.

In gnome1.4, i know font settings can be tuned in /etc/gtk/gtkrc.zh_CN.
In gnome2, from the trace of gedit2, I can see gtkrc.zh_CN still is
accessed and loaded, but it doesn't have any effect.

I was not using xft in gnome2 but Chinese display was weird.
It simply didn't use the right fonts. If I try to use xft, it
doesn't show Chinese at all.

If pangox.aliases is what I need, where can I find the document
or any example ? Furthermore where can I find information about these
gnome2 conf files ? They are supposed to be known to not only
distribution makers, but users as well, right ?

Thanks a lot,

Xiong
