The pspell packages shipped with RedHat-7.1 were broken, they left
the .la files out of the file list which are needed for dynamic
loading bt pspell.  This is fixed in the RawHide rpms which i have
installed on my computer:

$ rpm -qa | grep -i spell
pspell-devel-0.12.2-3
aspell-0.33.7-1
aspell-devel-0.33.7-1
pspell-0.12.2-3

***WARNING: To satisfy the dependancies with the new RawHide packages
I believe I also had to upgrade these:

automake-1.4p5-1
libtool-1.4-8
libtool-libs-1.4-8
libtool-libs13-1.3.5-2
