Re: spell checking

Allright, per redhat bug 42471:

I'm running RedHat 7.1.

I tried (getting packages from rawhide):

# The nodeps is because balsa requires an old library.
 rpm --nodeps -U ~kop/aspell-0.33.6.3-1.i386.rpm
~kop/pspell-0.12.2-2.i386.rpm ~kop/libtool-libs-1.4-6.i386.rpm
~kop/libtool-1.4-6.i386.rpm ~kop/pspell-devel-0.12.2-2.i386.rpm
~kop/libtool-libs13-1.3.5-1.i386.rpm ~kop/automake-1.4p4-2.noarch.rpm

# Then, using the standard balsa 1.1.6
# Recompile to re-link to upgraded libs.
 rpm --rebuild --target=i686 balsa-1.1.6-1.src.rpm
# Old, because a version is already installed.
 rpm -U --oldpackage balsa-1.1.6-1.i686.rpm

I still can't spell check in balsa. Same old "Unable to load the "aspell"
module" message.

I'm not really excited about fixing this just now. I don't have much time.
But I do have the time to report the problem.
