Hang on URL open

When I try to open an URL (non-mailto:) in Balsa, current CVS, the 
application will hang, nothing is displayed in the browser, and ps says:

[dd@lille-hjelper balsa2]$ ps -ef | grep balsa
dd        5002     1  3 23:06 ?        00:00:01 balsa -i
dd        5003  5002  0 23:06 ?        00:00:00 [balsa <defunct>]
dd        5006     1  0 23:06 ?        00:00:00 balsa -i

As anyone else seeing this? Any ideas what is wrong?
