I am using courier-imap 3.0.7, and server side threading is
supported,
though is doesn't quite work as well as balsa's local mbox threading.
telnet to the IMAP port on your server, and see if THREAD=REFERENCES
appears in the CAPABILITIES line. If not, make sure
IMAP_DISABLETHREADSORT=1
does not appear in your imap config file (/usr/local/etc/courier-
imap/imapd
on my FreeBSD mail server)
Thanks for all the info, obviously it does support threading:
* OK [CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 UIDPLUS CHILDREN NAMESPACE
THREAD=ORDEREDSUBJECT THREAD=REFERENCES SORT QUOTA IDLE ACL ACL2=UNION]
Courier-IMAP ready. Copyright 1998-2004 Double Precision, Inc. See
COPYING for distribution information.
But what does that ORDEREDSUBJECT mean? Last time I tried balsa it
obviously didn't thread anything. But I have IMAP_DISABLETHREADSORT=0
in my config file, so it should work. I'll try 2.2 again now...
