One small addition here: in version 4 settings-notebooks it is also
possible to right-click on any of the tabs. A pop-up menu will appear that
provides the user with quick access to all tabs, including the ones that
drop out of the current view. The extra pages you refer to are denoted in
the pop-up menu as submenu-items of the first tab-page.
You can see a look-alike (without the popup menu feature) of this type of
settings notebook in StarOffice. Go to the Options and select OS/2-look,
and one-line colored tabs.
