BTW, I don't really know if it's the scope of this gep, but can there
have diff for every realese like some hackers used to do in the past ?
Please think of those who still only have a RTC connection.
I used to collect the diffs when I was on the 28.8 modem, particularly
of Gnome 1.0.50 onwards and 1.1 packages. I should warn you that
a lot of those diffs didn't seem to apply and I often ended up
downloading the complete thing overnight as a cron job after all.
I do think we should be doing them, but I hope I was just unlucky
with my experiences.
This is mostly because diff doesn't work with binary files. Maybe it
would be worth providing xdeltas instead?
