Agreed; very much so.
One of the things that needs further discussion - since it was just
whacked in there, and is a hack currently; is the 'has_capabilities' API
for:
typedef enum {
EEL_VFS_CAPABILITY_SAFE_TO_EXECUTE,
EEL_VFS_CAPABILITY_IS_REMOTE_AND_SLOW /* link not copy */
} EelVfsCapability;
gboolean eel_vfs_has_capability (const char *text_uri,
EelVfsCapability capability);
Methods;
Inasmuch that (perhaps) it'd be nice to have more API to allow the user
to customise the capabilities - since they are essentially inscrutible
at the OS level; it seems to me to merit some detailed discussion,
preferably in a quick GEP format ;-)
