Hello,
For Gnome to really compete against Windows, the names of components on
the desktop should be more descriptive. For example, i keep forgetting
what Evolution does. I'm just studying Gnome, but I thought I should point
this out before the exotic names became a habit.
This follows the path that Unix has been taking since the beginning - too
much jargon. For example, nobody seems to know what "dired" means.
The non-descriptive names may seem interesting, but people who just want
to use a computer to get their work done will appreciate names like "file
Manager" instead of "Nautilus."
