You should probably add your comments to
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92335 about how you expect
this to behave. But what you're seeing now is how it's currently
designed to work-- it copies the behaviour of "Show Desktop" on Windows
XP, for what it's worth :)
It sounds like what you expected is more akin to the "Minimize All"
feature that's also mentioned in that bug report.
