Oh. I didn't see the option in the configure --help output. Maybe I
should file a bug against autoconf for putting additional options in odd
locations which make them hard to find. :)

However, the fact that it does not build, when I *don't* have the
necessary python stuff installed, and it *detects* this, is still a
bug, and I'll file it today. The option shouldn't be required to
disable it if it doesn't even exist on the system.
