There has been some confusion about whether we are in a "deep-code"
freeze since the Release Candidate 1 release, because it isn't mentioned
on the schedule:
http://developer.gnome.org/dotplan/schedule/
Well, apparently we are:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/desktop-devel-list/2003-January/msg00027.html
So, ALL code changes need to be approved by the release team:
release-team gnome org
Some people already knew this and have been asking for approval already.
This doesn't mean that you can't fix important bugs before the final
release - it just means you should check with us first. And you don't
need to ask us about documentation or i18n changes.
Many apologies from the release-team for not being clearer about this
already. And thanks for the hard work.
