One quick note, before I bother carrying this discussion any further -
Firebird is under the IPL which is identical to the MPL which is not GPL
compatible; it cannot be linked to most GNOME applications. This is why
Mozilla is dual (or triple now) licensed under MPL/GPL/LGPL. Any
argument regarding how great you think Firebird is are pointless, since
it can't be used in any part of the GNOME release.
