   adding applications on desktop not showing its icon

description : applications are not showing its icon
when it is added to the desktop
steps to reproduce the problem :
1.goto applications
2.goto internet (or any application)
3.select it and drad it on to desktop 
4.it is added to desktop but not showing its icon
