Sure. This means you need to lobby the distributions to ensure that
Tracker is installed by default. That's what a lot of people are saying
here - you need to make sure people feel all warm and fuzzy before you
can make them accept a non-optional dependency.

This is a very general and broad statement concerning the key element in
this discussion. I think it would help your case if you expanded on why
this is so and what power would be unleashed.

This is kinda hyperbole - not really useful. But, hey, did you know that
monitor hotplug in GNOME almost works as well as in Windows 95 now? -
That is, if your video driver works with your hardware ;-)

(With apologies to the X hackers. The point here, really, is that we
have the work cut out for us. Indexing/metadata is important but, uh,
there's so much other work that needs to be done too.)
