Turns out this was caused by old gdk-pixbuf headers in the installed
tree, from before gdk-pixbuf was separated (ie under
$includedir/gtk-3.0/gdk-pixbuf) - those were found before the
standalone gdk-pixbuf headers.
The next rebuild should work better.
