If you move the add tab button to the tab bar, then how do you open a
new tab if only one document (tab) is open? In Web, if only one
document is open there is NO tab bar, thus no button...
otherwise, I like the super accordion idea. It seems easiest to manage
both on touch screens and regular screens. Also, could the widget
scroll (drag/swipe) to expand the accordioned tabs? and then, perhaps,
<CTRL>+drag (long-touch) to rearrange them?

Another widget that Christian is prototyping for gnome-builder.
We've
wanted such a thing in GTK+ for a while, to be able to fully
replace
GtkNotebook with GtkStack and
implement the tabs that our designers want.

This is a big task, and Christian could probably use some help
with
fleshing this out.
Will you be implementing one of the design here?

ment
My first and primary focus for the tab strip is for the panel-gtk
case
in Builder. Not that I wouldn't like to implement those designs too,
it
just might be a bit more restricted in use first (I do have an IDE to
write after all).
