True -- I've been on this list a short time, and I've seen this issue
come up many times.

However, I would like to second the calls for making the archive easier
to search.  It would have made answering some of my own questions much
less time consuming.

It would also be nice to be able to read a brief paragraph specifying
the policies of this list when you subscribe.  I'm speaking mostly of
using the reply-all button on this list...  I know it's a trivial point,
but I did manage to inadvertently annoy someone that way  :-)

Anyway...  I'm going to get back to fixing computer problems!
