[gdm-list] Window manager and gdmlogin window?

Hello,
i try to use an on screen keyboard on the gdmlogin screen. If i start an additional wm (evilwm) on the gdmlogin screen it results in a fault with the following output: "root window unavaiable (maybe another wm is running)".
Is there any workaround to start an additional window manager?
