Harmuth, Florian:
i try to use an on screen keyboard on the gdmlogin screen. If i start an
additional wm (evilwm) on the gdmlogin screen it results in a fault with
the following output: "root window unavaiable (maybe another wm is
running)".
Is there any workaround to start an additional window manager?
I assume you are using gdmlogin as your login program instead of
gdmgreeter. Note that gdmlogin already has a "light window manager"
running, but gdmgreeter does not. You might find running another
window manager in gdmgreeter works better.
Currently gdmlogin doesn't have any code to allow turning off the
built-in "light window manager", but the code could probably be
hacked to allow you to specify an alternative window manager.
