Folks;
once again looking into geary as I still miss an "up-to-date", usable,
somewhat lightweight mail client for Linux/GNOME. Geary is pretty close
to what I want, but unfortunately still I can't use it with our
corporate IMAP server (cyrus-imapd based). There are hundreds of
(partially extremely large) shared folders on there, and geary
reproducibly runs into timeouts / starts causing extreme CPU load just
moments after start. Generally, this wouldn't be a problem as I just
have a bunch of folders subscribed to on this server - however geary
seems to simply poll mail from any "accessible" mail folder it is able
to find.
Is there some way to tweak this behaviour? Expectation would be that
geary restricts itself to just showing the folders my account has
subscribed, which at least works in Thunderbird and evolution in a
somewhat "portable" way... :)
Thanks in advance and all the best,
Kristian
