[gedit-list] gedit--speed-plugins?

I do enjoy using gedit. However, i'm a writer for various magazines
and use it with the Firefox's ItsAllText plugin for emails.

In comparison with Bluefish and Kate i do find it rather slow to load.
Is it the plugins that make it a little slower or is there a way of
disabling some features in an rc file that could speed it up.
