[Glade-users] trying out glade

I want to try something simple with glade. Create a
window, then several buttons each of which carries a
string of text. A button can be drag-and drop anywhere
over the window. When a button is clicked, its text
will appear in the focused window of another
application, such as, an editor.

I believe this has been done before. To avoid
re-inventing the wheel, would appreciate some ready
codes or link to them.
