I have searched the archives and did not find a problem of this sort
till now. I have installed festival and gnome-speech on Red Hat linux
9.
When I try to do test-speech, it is not able to start it by saying "No
server selected". I have read on this list, that the next step is to
run
festival-synthesis-driver directly and it gives an error message that
relocation error:/usr/lib/libgnomespeech.so.6: undefined symbol:
ORBit_skel_class_register.
I am not able to make head or toe out of it -- these might be that
some package is missing -- but if that is so, rpm should have warned
me when I installed the packages. Please note that festival works well
on my system.
Please help/guide.
