Hi all:
All of you know gnome-speech, a package providing access to speech synthethizers, such as FreeTTS, Festival , and so on. But do you think that it could be interresting to link Speech-dispatcher to gnome-speech ? This could be used, to make Gnome Speech support more TTS.
Of course, we could use gnome-speech as a dispatcher for any applications, but what happens for console application that do not need X Window System or Gnome (this would be a heavy dependency; to use mc you must install gnome ;-).
The goal of all those questions, is to make the ability to a programmer to have his application accessible for blinds, without forcing him to build it on top of a specific architecture.
Do not hesitate to give me your feedback (even if negative).
Regards,
