Cannot boot latest Ubuntu Edgy

Hi all,
I have downloaded the latest Ubuntu Edgy but it doesn't seem to boot proprely. I can hear the CD spinning for some time but nothing else seem to happen. I waited about 4-5 minutes but with no result. I then hit Ctrl-Alt-Backspace but nothing happened there as well. i have been able to boot earlier versions of the Live CD without any problems. Any thoughts?
