Cheryl and all interested,

Ok, so I just talked my totally blind buddy through this process. 
It's fairly simple and I have reproduced it many times now. Here 
is what you are going to need to do to boot the edgy cd without 
the splash screen. At least right now that is.

1. F6 almost as soon as you hear the cd spin up.
2. Hit the "End" key, to make sure you are on the end of the 
line.
3. Left arrow 4 times.
4. Backspace 7 times and hit enter.
5. Wait for the music.
6. Wait a few more seconds, it will come.
7. Alt-F2 and type "orca -t", tab once and spacebar, then hit 
enter.
8. festival will come up talking, answer the questions.
9. Ctrl-Alt-Backspace, wait for music, not drums, but music.
10. Alt-F2, type "orca", Enter and have fun!!!
