Now, before you go pointing the finger at openSUSE... :-) I just tested
this with others and they're not able to recreate my situation. But I
did gather up a bit more info:
.xsession-errors log shows:
gnome-session: Fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X
server :1.0.
I also found this behavior:
If I toggle again with shift+numlock, then mouse-pointer movement works.
If I toggle again, (supposedly to turn it off) that's when I get the
crash. I am now keeping it in the second toggle position so I don't
accidentally crash myself out again.
On a related note: Where can I get a list of other Xorg keycombos to do
these neat tricks (sans crash)?
