Alternative Programming Languages

Recently Erik Bĺgfors set up a web site on bindings
for other programming languages.

I think, that the Gnome project might be a good occasion
to promote programming on Linux in languages other than
C, C++, Java and various scripting tools. These might
evolve into programming system fully equivalent to C and
friends for any programming tasks.

I personally am very interested in Sather and Haskell. But
SML, Eiffel and other would also deserve to get full support
on Linux.
