Pilot: Archive bit?

Hello guys,

   I am getting the strangest calendar entries from my Pilot, and I
have found that those records have the "Archive" bit set.  What does
this bit mean?

   Does it mean "I need to be archived, please archive me and kill
me", or it means "This item has been stored on an archive in some
desktop machine"?
