developer login to CVS?

Hello,

as I'm developing a 2D vector drawing app with gtk (and might also
"gnomify" it when I have time), I'd like to know how one can get a
developer login to the CVS system, so I could make my code available 
to others...

I've found some info on the website, also the anomymous CVS, but I have
no idea how you get write permission?
