Startup hints

If you check out the absolutely newest gnome-core CVS, you will notice
gnome-hint. It's a startup hints dialog that's now separate (and smarter)
from the panel. Now the reason I'm posting is so that people can make hint
files for their apps (I'm not sure if it should be done by all apps or just
the core ones).

The hint files are xml files in the following format:

<?xml version="1.0"?>
    <Content>Some hint goes here</Content>
    <Content xml:lang="cs">Nakej hint je tady</Content>
    <Content>Blah blah blah</Content>
    <Content xml:lang="cs">Bla bla bla</Content>

They are installed into <prefix>/gnome/hints/ and should prolly have the
name <program name>.hints

See the panel.hints file for a further example in the panel directory.
