desk-guide applet not receiving edge clicks

I was impressed by the ability of the buttons to receive the click
even if you are not clicking on top of them, but in the panel edge.

I noticed I was so slow changing desktops, and thinked how really useful
will be if the desk-guide applet could also receive this edge clicks.

I'm using a tiny panel, so the desk-guide is just like 4 buttons.
