gnome-core-1.1.9: panel eating memory

My panel was eating the memory, after some investigation I realized the
problem was
with the theme I was using. This is if you use gdk-pixbuf (latest
release) + gnome-core-1.1.9
and you have the BrushedMetalClean theme, the panel will eat all the
memory, just move some
launch button so see how it grows.

Perhaps the problem is gtk-themes not using gdk-pixbuf.
