Re: gnome-libs-1.0.56 problem

I didn't post the original problem with gnome-terminal, but it has
never worked here.  I haven't mentioned it yet because I have been
working primarily on the compilation stage rather than the runtime
stage.

The error dialog I get says this:

    There has been an error while trying to log in.
    The error was: Bad file number

I tried once to trace it down, but I don't have a firm grasp on the
interaction between gnome-terminal and zvt, so I got lost after a
while.

What additional information can I post to help debug this?  This is
Tru64 UNIX 5.0.
