Piddle

Has anyone looked at piddle? It's written in Python so it is easy to 
look at, easier than C that is!

It's a generic 2D canvas that is very promising and looks already 
quite good!

It has rotated inflated text support and pdf, ps support and all!

There is also a piddleGTK backend! (work in progress). I am actually 
gonna use it in replacement probably of Canvas for 2D plotting!

Maybe it could be used to revamp the GnomeCanvas widget unless this 
has already been done!
