GtkHandle/Applet Prob

Hi,

  Iīd like to make my applet detachable, thus I put it in a GtkHandleBox.
As soon as I detach the applet, the handlebox gets _quite_ small.
How can I avoid this? I looked at minicommanders code, but there the
default size gets stored in the properties. Thatīs not what I want.

  Another but related question: How can I get the size (x and y) of an
realized widget ?
