I would personally suggest using OAF.  The problem with gnorba is that it
will go away soon.  It is already non-present in gnome-libs HEAD.  That said,
it's not that incredibly hard to switch, as most of your code deals with
general corba stuff and not activation.

OAF can do many more things, and is a much nicer to deal with then gnorba.
However it doesn't have a stable release.  So there's always a tradeoff.
