Displaying Text on the GnomeCanvas

Hi Folks
I have noticed that drawing text on the GnomeCanvas results in the font
not being as clear as in a button. Is there some reason that this is
happening, how can I fix this, or at least improve the quality in
which text is displayed on the GnomeCanavs.
