Hmm this doesn't seem to be quite the whole story - but it got me a long
way.  I don't seem to have a 'medusa' in the stuff I downloaded; but I
have gained a 'scrollkeaper'. 'scrollkeaper' needs to be compiled before a
lot of other apps.
